This day in history....

In 1962, the Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago became independent within the British Commonwealth.

In 1954, Hurricane Carol hit the northeastern Atlantic states. Connecticut, Rhode Island and part of Massachusetts bore the brunt of the storm, which resulted in nearly 70 deaths

On Aug. 31, 1886, an earthquake rocked Charleston, S.C., killing up to 110 people.

Hey, this is no poptart.

Come on four day weekend!

I am so glad that tomorrow is Friday. Even though I have to be at school for a test that I won't even be graded on. It is suppose to show how well we will do on the NCLEX. Whatever. We have been out of school for three months, great time to test us.
School was boring today. We just bascially reviewed legal issues in nursing, charting and physical assessment. But the instructor was cool and we did get out a hour early. Woo-hoo!!
I need to go get my bridesmaids dress tomorrow or Sunday.
So I've been pretty boring. The highlight of my day was pissing some guy in a jeep off this morning. Why do people just assume that a turn signal gives them the right away? Did I miss something in driver's ed???
So since I have nothing interesting to say.(Do I ever?) I will leave you with a cute kitty pic. I love cute kitty pics. They make me all warm and fuzzy.

Can I just get the cookie?

Our visitor

Well, I have to say Ernesto was quite the guest. No landscaping, no redecorating. The kind of visitor that we like. I haven't really watched the news since yesterday but I'm sure there were no problems. I have seen thunderstorms due worse damage. No downed powerlines or trees, not even a branch around my place.
I really didn't do much around my apartment yesterday. I just made sure everything from the patio was moved in and everything was unplugged. Then I went over to baby's and helped him clean out the garage. Then we went to pick up lunch and some things from the grocery store. It was a rather relaxing day yesterday. We decided against putting up any shutters and I'm glad that we did. It would have been such a pain to take them down. We just did the accordions upstairs and brought everything in.
We took a drive to Deerfield beach yesterday to just walk around and look at the surfers. It was nice but once we stepped out onto the pier a rain cloud opened up. It didn't last long, once we were back in the car it was sunny and dry once again.
We stopped by his aunts and had lunch. I love his aunt. She is so sweet and she is the best cook. We stayed and helped them put up their shutters. Well, that didn't go so well. A big argument between son and father all over shutters. I'm sure there was more to it than that but I felt so sorry for his aunt. It happened outside when quite a few neighbors were out. So that was a bit awkward.
Since we were in the neighborhood we decided to swing by his other aunt's for a visit. Apparently his niece told his cousin that we were getting married but that it was a secret. I don't know where she got that it was a secret but it was funny. She was also quick to mention that she was going to be a flower girl.
I wanted Starbucks so bad yesterday and they were all closed. Bastards!!! So I had to settle for Dunkin' Doughnuts. I was not pleased.
Baby said something that I thought was interesting. He said when he use to go out partying and drinking all the time that everyone always just saw him as a normal guy, nothing more. But now that he goes to the masjid daily, doesn't drink, started eating halal again and prays 5 times a day he isn't. He is now either labeled some religious fanatic or a terrorist. But he hasn't changed. He is still the crazy, funny guy that he always was. People just puzzle me sometimes.

The Waiting Game

So I wasn't too worried about this Hurricane Ernesto. Not one bit. They said it would brush the tip of South Florida. No worries. I get up and turn on the news to the man saying "today is the day to prepare people!". Great. So it could be a hurricane. It could be a tropical storm. Or it could be nothing at all. All I know is that now I'm in the freaking path of the first hurricane of the season. Yeehaw.
I'm not as prepared as I would like to be. But whoever is? I went and got kitty litter, chocolate and toilet paper. I really don't need anything, masha allah.
What pisses me off is that I have to miss my first lecture tomorrow. And i have more Frontloading on Wed. and skills check off on Thursday. Every freaking year our schedule gets messed up! Grr....But I will count my blessings. I will still have a school to go to.
So I was going to go get gas after class and so nixed that. You should see the craziness at the gas pumps. Some people are just a tad bit over zealous. Just a little.
So I just have to cover my computer, bring in my plants and patio furniture and store my scrapbooks. Then we wait.

I live with some trash. Plain ole, white trailer trash. Ok, yes they are really nice dressed, drive really nice, pretty shiny cars. The men have perky little wives and 2.5 children. But you know what they don't know how to do? Open a door a place a freaking bag of garbage into the dumpster and shut the freaking door. No, they don't teach that in college so how would they know how to do it. Do you want to know how many bags were outside the dumpster? 50 bags. 50!!!!! I would take a picture but people already think I'm weird around here. Because you know, I'm the white trash driving my beat up car around, sporting a hijab on Fridays.
ok, the vent is over....I just feel sorry for the poor men who have to clean the crap up tomorrow.

Let the games begin...

Yeah, it's that time of year again. The great lets all make a mad dash to the store buy everything in sight. EVERYTHING!!! What, it needs to be placed in a fridge? No problem, I'll still take it!! Who cares if power goes out!!! Propane, yes I need it!! Oh, wait do I have a purpose for propane? Who cares!! Throw it in the cart!!

Welcome to the official start of hurricane season. That wonderful time of year when somewhat civilized people turned into rabid vultures. What fun oh fun. Hopefully, it will just stay clear of us. I could go without all of that, Thank You very much.

I've had a good Sunday so far. I have been organizing my binder and calendar for school. I love Fall because I feel so on top of things. Hopefully this will last. I have a pretty hefty goal of an A this semester, Inshallah. I would like to have at least one more before I graduate:)

I had a long nice talk with one of my girlfriends today. I haven't spoken to her in a really long time. We met in college when we both lived in Indy. She now lives in Pennsylvania. I miss her. I have to start getting things ready because I'm going to be in her wedding this October. I have to go to David's this week and I'm hoping that they'll have my dress. I need new shoes and I need to make an hair appointment. I think I might get one of those mystic tans before the wedding. I haven't decided yet.

Yesterday I really didn't do much. I cleaned out the guest bedroom so baby could move his stuff in it. It was his sisters when she lived here and he didn't want the bigger room. Well, now he feels cramped so he decided to switch rooms. His cousin stayed in the room for summer vacation so it really needed to be cleaned. All I have to say is ewww. I threw the comfoter and sheets out. They hadn't been cleaned all summer and I found ants in the bed. Well, that is just wrong. I don't think I will tell his mom because she will flip out. She is a clean freak like me and I think best to just keep that to myself. So baby is going to shampoo the carpet and start moving his stuff in there. The place is just a mess. He never has time to clean and his cousin didn't help at all. I told him that he needs to set some ground rules down next time.

My mom got me a new printer over the summer and I love it. My other one died on me. It was cheap and I'm impressed that it lasted 6 years. But my new one has a scanner!! I have finally moved up. Hahahaa. So I have been scanning more pics onto cds. It takes forever but I would be so devastated to lose my photos. I'm sentimental that way.

I read an article yesterday that just really pissed me off. Apparently there is a study that proves that tall people are smarter than short people. Whatever. I know lots of tall people that are complete morons. MORONS. And they are going to say I inferior intellect because I'm shorter. Yeah, ok.

So Glad the weekend is here

I am so happy that today was Friday!!! Of course I was a little under the weather for some reason today. I felt crappy all day. School was good yesterday. We worked on Peds medications, pediatric airway and chest tubes. I'm sad to say that before yesterday I had no clue to what a chest tube was. Now I know. Yippee.
So I have to start reading tomorrow. It should be an easy read because it is over oxygenation of the newborn. So basically it is just a review for OB.
Want to hear something ironic. I have the same clinical instructor from my last rotation. Joy oh joy. It's not that I don't like her but she doesn't like me. I have no idea what I did to her but she doesn't like me. But the ironic thing is I partially signed up for this clinical spot so I wouldn't get her. But they moved her. Sometimes my luck just bites.

Ok, time for the Friday Masha-Allah's

1. For being in nursing school and only having 8 months and 2 weeks left. Woo-hoo!!! Though I'm a bit worried about 4th semester after talking to one of my friends in 4th.

2. For baby taking to me to my favorite restraunt tonight. I really didn't feel like cooking.

3. For having a cool mom who didn't freak out on me Wed. She was ready to drive down here and kick some butt.

4. For having a long nice talk with my sis yesterday.

5. For not having to buy any books this semester. I am so freaking broke.

Happy Birthday Sis!!!

I want you to know that I am so happy that you are not only my sister but my friend. I am so very proud of the wonderful woman that you have turned into. I know that things haven't always been easy for you but you haven't let that get you down. You have just picked up the pieces and kept moving. I think you are amazing for doing that.
I know that you were afraid of what kind of mom you would be but I never thought that you would be any less than wonderful. I know David will know what a great gift God has given him by giving him you as a mom.
I remember the day that mom brought you home and I was so excited. I had visions of a live baby doll that I would be able to play with and dress in beautiful clothes. All that vanished when I realized that you would have none of that and you were more intent on pulling the legs and heads off my Barbies. You have always had that independent spirit and god help anyone who would stand in your way!
I am so glad that I'm your big sister. I only wished we lived closer so I could stop by and have a cup of tea and just talk whenever I was in the neighborhood. I wish that we were able to go shopping together and watch our children grow up next to each other.
I hope that you realize that me and mom love you very much and I was so happy that day you came home. Happy Birthday Samantha.

Wednesday, August 23, 2006

This is how I felt to day. I was very optimistic about my first day back. I had envisions of me actually being excited and happy! All was good in the beginning. I was happy, relaxed. Orientation went well I got put into a group that just had to sit and watch videos. I got in the same group as lots of my friends.Things were going very nicely. Then the bomb dropped.
Procalc must be done by today. OR. YOU.WILL.BE.OUT. As in, out of the program.
WTF???? I mean seriously what the hell. I mean yeah it was due today and we are suppose to have it done before we can go onto the clinical floor. It wasn't just a few of us either. There were LOTS of us. And it wasn't like we just waited to the last minute. Most people had to take it three of four times. I usually always pass the first time but this one sucked ass. But they never once said, Hey if you don't pass on this day there are really big consequences.
So I was freaking out. I cried, then cursed and then just got really pissed off. So I left class early and went up to take my Procalc and didn't pass. Great.
So I basically just didn't care when I took it at the next appointment. Well, I guess that worked because I got a 100%. I so suck sometimes.....

Ok, why isn't it Friday yet????

10 Things that Make me Wish it Were friday

1. Stupid drivers who speed through the school zones. Yeah, I'm talking to you Mr. Red BMW.

2. Having to retake my Procalc for the third freaking time because I keep forgetting to freaking round my numbers. Oh, and it is suppose to be done tomorrow. Crap.

5. Waking up to my cat puking.

Friday, August 18, 2006

It's Friday so you know what time it is!! Ok, well since this is only my second time doing this I guess you don't, hahahah!!!

Ok, today was a good day. Why you ask? Because I did nothing except play around on my computer and go to the masjid!!!

So here is my Masha-Allah list

1. Hot sauce. I know it's a weird one but I adore hot and spicy food. I get it from my momma. Baby bought me some hot sauce from Trinidad. It puts my other stuff to shame! Shame!

2. For a really good Khutbah that is getting me excited about Ramadan!! I will always love Ramadan because this is when I first really learned about Islam. I would always go over to break fast with baby's family and his uncle would always explain certain things to me. I was searching and I thought I would never pick Islam. I told baby no way on me converting. Well, I wanted to see what Fasting was all about so I picked a day where I didn't have a lot of studying and I was going to be home. That night when I prayed for the first time was just amazing. I knew right then and there.
But I am going to try really hard and try to set some goals up for myself this Ramadan and stick with them.

3. Being able to get food at the masjid after Khutbah. Yummy, yummy biriyani. I didn't have to cook today!!

4. For my shalwar kameez. It helps me feel less fat. That is ALWAYS good.

5. I lost a pound!!! woo-hoo!! I guess all that exercising I have been doing as really helped. I stayed up after Fajr and got on the treadmill. A whole 5 days in a row of workouts!!!:)Only 6 more lbs. to go!!!

6. Cat naps with my cat Shakespeare. He is the best sleeping partner ever!

Ok, I think I freaked my neighbor out today. I was walking down the stairs and he glanced at me and stayed on the sidewalk and looked away until I came down. He didn't recognize me until I said hello. He didn't know I converted and was in utter shock to say the least!!
Another thing that made me laugh is someone asking me what I know about fried chicken since I'm not black. WTF???? Um,ok, my grandma is from the south. I know all about fried chicken. She made the best. She also made everything that would be on a "Soul Food" menu. Um, hello a southern lady we are talking about. Lunch was not lunch. No lunch was dinner and it was not just a sandwich. It was enough food to feed an entire army. Enough said.
So my mom just called and we got into a fight. We hardly ever fight but she isn't happy and I know she hates Florida. She is never happy when I talk to her lately. NEVER. And she just told me to F&*$ off. That is so not my mom. I can't believe that she just told me that. So, that just turned my good day into a crappy night. Way to go mom.:(

Time to hit the books

Well, tomorrow I have to go and take my Procalc. I am so dreading this. I haven't looked at it at all and I hope that it isn't too hard. I have to get a 95% to pass so that means I can only miss one. Hopefully I won't have to retake it. So I'm going to go over the practice test tonight and then meet one of my friends tomorrow so he can help me with it. Then I have to buy my syllabus and then I have to start my reading for next week. Ok, I'm going to whine because I'm not ready to go back yet!!
I have been doing better about getting up early but not as well as I want. I need to start getting up just a tad bit earlier. What makes it hard is that I stay up to late. I guess I will never learn!!!
I have also been really good about working out. I haven't been slacking at all and hopefully I can keep this up. I need to lose 8lbs. and I will be happy. It didn't help that I ate like crap this summer and I have been really bad about taking my Synthroid. I was all messed up when I was in Alaska and now I'm remembering to take it again. Bad me!!!
Well, baby had the day off Monday so we decided to take his niece to the beach. She was so happy and excited when I called and told her that we were coming to get her. Well, as soon as we got off the turnpike it just started pouring. So I decided that I would take her today. Well, it is freaking storming again! Grrrr. So I guess I won't be taking her anywhere before she leaves. But we did take her to see Barnyard and she enjoyed that. Of course baby got a call while we were at the movies so he had to go in right after the show. So I took her to Chucke E. Cheese and let her go wild. The best $25 dollars I have spent in awhile:) It was perfect too. It wasn't crowded at all. I just ordered an individual pizza because neither one of us eats a lot. I was worried that it wouldn't be enough but it worked out perfect.
IshaAllah, I might be getting a new car. Well, not a new one but new to me. I really hope that it works out because I so need a new car. I have an old car without a/c. That is starting to get real old! I need air!!!! But if not I will just have to wait until I get out of school. It would just be nice to have air on my hour drive to school and not melt!!
Hey sis, I got your email and I will be calling you either tomorrow or Friday!!

Sunday, August 13, 2006

Well, it is 6:29 am and I'm still up. Hopefully I don't give into temptation and go back to bed. I have to start waking up early this week or I will be hating life next week when school starts. Which I was very excited about but now I'm dreading it. I'm really hoping this semester goes better than last. Everyone tells me that it is all downhill after second semester. I hope so. I feel like I have forgotten every single thing I have learned. We have orientation Wednesday at freaking 8am. Then we have frontloading for two days from 9-3. BLAH! And then we get to take a test to see how much we know to prepare us for the NCLEX. I'm just hoping that it is nothing like the HESSIE. Because I really don't need that right away. Welcome back, here take this dumb ass test so we can see how much you know! Oh,yeah that would be NOTHING according to hessie. Rat bastards.
I am hoping that I will get a better clinical instructor. I am really looking forward to Pediatrics. I just hope I can get an instructor that will actually um, do this thing like teach us? First day on my OB rotation I actually was told to go find something to do. Yeah, nice. That's basically how the whole rotation went.
I made a plan to cook on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Then I'm just going to make one big meal and baby is going to grill some chicken maybe some fish and then we will just divide that between and freeze for the week. Hopefully this works. My dietary habits went to hell last year and I'm going to try to eat better. I will be taking my lunch more too. I need to lay of the junk food too. Easier said than done.
I was really productive and actually did everything on my to-do list! Woo-hoo! Of course it was a small list but still. Ok, how boring is my life when I get excited that I completed my to-do list?

Friday, August 11, 2006

1. For having a wonderful mom. She gives me so much strength and guidance and I'm forever thankful for her.

2. For my boyfriend. I couldn't have asked for a better person to spend my life with. He does so much for me.

3. My kitties. I woke up with both of them cuddled next to me this morning:) It just made me happy.

4. Having nice ladies working in the Leasing office. They are usually mean in other apartment complexes. I had a problem today and it was taken care of right away with no problems. And did I mention that they are nice and ALWAYS smiling? Love it!

5. That I'm happy!!!:)

Days gone by....

I can't believe it is Friday already. Where has my week gone? I now only have on week and two days left of freedom. Boo-hoo. I will try to start some reading tonight but I have a funny feeling it's not going to happen. I didn't do everything that I wanted to do this summer but I am grateful because of what I did get to do and I did have a really great summer.
I am feeling better today. Not at as sad. I refuse to watch any news because I know it will just upset me. I prefer to be the ostrich right now. So I will be laid back tonight. I'm going to make some chicken tacos, go to the masjid for isha and then come home and scrap a little. I plan on doing nothing tomorrow either. I plan on reading a little and then scrapping. I might go to baby's and lay out by the pool if it's nice.
I went to the masjid today and his Auntie, her granddaughter and his niece were there. Well, his aunt has to sit so the girls follow me. I'm reading and they are following along and all of sudden his niece yells out why do we have to pray 12 times! It's was funny because usually she is really good but today she was just restless or something. I think it's because she knows she's going home soon. Have to love 4 year olds. I don't know where she got 12 though...
Baby thought it was weird that they made an announcement about not being associated with terrorist and terrorism and that wasn't what Islam was about. I told baby the reason they said that is because I'm sure that every mosque and Islamic center in the U.S. is being watched. I joked that they were probably listening to his phone calls. I would feel for the poor souls on the other end of that one!! I mean me and his mom talk his poor ear off!!!
I'm starting to wonder how well I'm going to this Ramadan. This will be my first fast and I don't know how well I will do. It wouldn't be such a big deal if I was in school and I know that lots of people have no problems. But I usually don't do so well when I don't eat. I know it is going to be rough and I hope that it goes well. I do know that I will be taking a weekend off and making that weekend up at a later date. I'm going to one of my closet friend's wedding and I want to be able to celebrate with her. Some things are easy to do and let go when you covert and others I guess just take time. I might write a post on that later. Then again I might not.:)
I'm going to steal the Masha Allah idea from dictator Princess and Amira's blog. I think it's a great idea. 'Cause you know I'm a follower and not a leader....

Thursday, August 10, 2006

I read a very good post tonight over at Aisha's. It talks about the terror plot that was caught today. It is a very good read.
I can't even begin to express how I feel. I am sad, sick and just plain angry. I do not understand how anyone, Christian, Jew or Muslim, can take a life. I really just can not wrap my head around this. I am so tired of the hate and the fighting. I think about my actions and I try to be the best person that I can be. I feel guilty when I hurt someone. I feel guilty for not doing enough things to help people. I feel bad if I miss a prayer. I worry about what actions that I will have to answer for on my day of judgment. I know I'm a good person. I have my moments where I'm not so nice and I HATE it.
Then I see people like this who don't even care that they are killing people. That they will destroy these peoples families for taking this person away from them. I just can't believe that they actually think that they are doing Allah's work. It literally makes me sick to even think about this. It makes me ill just thinking that people will see me, a Muslim woman and think that I have the same thoughts as these horrid men who distort something beautiful and turn it into something so ugly.
I will never understand how there can be so much hate in God's creatures.

Wednesday, August 09, 2006

Well, I have had a pretty good week so far. Me and baby went out to dinner with some friends Sunday night. It was a nice night. We went to this place on the beach and on Sunday nights they have a reggae band. It gets pretty crowded and takes forever to get a table though. But me and baby went and took a nice walk along the pier. It was the most relaxing thing I have done in awhile. Luckily the table was ready when we went back. I had the salmon Caesar salad and it was delicious!!
Monday he took me to his gym and worked out with me. I was very proud of myself. I did 30 min. on the treadmill with him and then did 20 min. on the stairmaster. Then he helped me work on my arms. This is a problem area for me. I have no upper body strength whatsoever.
The guy at the gym wasn't a very good sales person. I mean if you want me to sign up at least try to sell the place. He just gave me a price and asked if I was interested. I didn't even use any of the equipment yet!! I told him I wasn't the one who was paying for it so talk to the man. Baby also told them not to call and harass me. They haven't so far.
So we decided to go spend some time over at his aunt and uncle's. Their granddaughter and his niece is staying with them and I wanted to see everyone. It was a really nice time. We sat around the pool talking and then ate dinner. I went to out of the room to speak to my mom real quick and when I got back I was ambushed. His aunt was like, "so I hear you guys are thinking about having a nikkah soon." I was lost for words. I'm not even going to go into that right now.
My mom came down Tuesday and hung out with me. She took me out today to get a couple of things for school. I miss her already!! But I'm glad that she is so close that she can actually drive down and see me and vice versa.
I also was able to catch up with some friends today. That was nice. I needed girl talk!!! Me and one of my friends from school are going to go out the Monday for school and get the rest of our stuff for classes. I'm so glad that I met her. I hope that we can keep in touch after we finish.

A little humor for your Sunday enjoyment.....

Probably not so funny if one has herpes, especially if they got them in Vegas. But I think it's funny.

Sunday, Bloody, Sunday, Indeed

I am so freaking tired!!! The work thing fell through last night. So, a new guy baby works for wanted to go out so baby decided we all would go to Space. Well, the guy had friends from out of town and they brought no clothes to go out in. I will never understand this. Seriously. How do you go on vacay and not bring one nice thing?? Strange to me but hey everyone is different I guess.
So, we went out with one of his friends. I had been out with him once before but I really didn't get to talk to him. He is really cool and I like him. He is laid back and not crazy. I hope that we all get to hang out again because he isn't psychotic. Baby has met some very strange people around here. I might have to share some stories some times.
Space was entertaining. No one drank we just went to dance. It was a fun time and we got there really early. But me and baby are both broke so we had to go early to get in for free. I really had going at Midnight because the music doesn't really get good until about 3. And that's about what time we left. I just couldn't hang anymore. My back was killing me and there were way to many stupid people invading the dance floor. Gee, I'm getting old!!!
I didn't get up until 10:30! I really haven't done much. I have just been a lazy bum all day. I don't even think I'm going to cook tonight. Maybe I'll just have ice cream:)
I have to laugh at 18 year olds sometimes. I always feel young till I hang around them. It's funny to see someone who thinks that they have the world figured out and that we "old" people don't have a clue to what is going on. I also love the fact that they think they can pull the wool over our eyes so easily. I only say this because I remember how much I thought I knew at 18. Boy was I in for a shock!!! It makes me giggle.
I'm going to have to post some stuff that has been bugging me later. People can be oh so vexing.

Well, not as Evil as people say!

You Are 42% Evil
You are evil, but you haven't yet mastered the dark side.
Fear not though - you are on your way to world domination.
How Evil Are You?

It is amazing what a nice, clean organized apartment can do for one's spirits. I am finally back to feeling normal. I spent the whole day at home yesterday and it felt really nice. My place in finally all cleaned up and it looks really nice. I have a list of some things I want to do around here to make it look nicer. I'm going to give this Flylady thing a try and see how it goes. It seems a little weird but we'll see. But is nice to be able to relax and just do things I want to do instead of doing things I have to do.
I have been catching up on people's blogs and have a couple of new ones to add to my list when I get around to it. My boyfriend thinks the whole blogging thing is strange. He said I was too nosy. I was like whatever.
We went to Target last night and I got a pretty good deal on cat food there. They were out of the stuff that was advertised so I ended up with the 32 cubes of food for $9. So I bought a couple so I don't run out. Mom has decided to come and get her cat. She misses her too much. She is really needy and I'm glad that she will be coming to get here. I love my mom's cat but she bullies my cats! My cat will put up with for awhile then just kick her ass.
I read that an Italian resort will have a private beach just for Muslim women. I think that's really nice. I would hate not to be able to lay out on the beach!!! Of course I feel really self conscious right now so I'm not thrilled with laying out. I tried buying a swimsuit in Alaska. I could not find a one piece under a size 10. WTF??
Me and baby will be going out tonight. I'm just glad that he called early to tell me. He has this bad habit of calling an hour or two before hand.Um, hello, I'm a girl, I need time to get ready!!! I actually am looking forward to going. It is with people that he works with so it won't be anything to crazy but at least it will get me out of the house!!!

Ok, I can't believe that it is already August. That means I only have 20 days left until school starts. Which means I really did to get my bum into gear and get ready for school. I need to brush up on my skills and do some reading. I still need to take my Procalc. Ick. I also need to get my CPR updated and my PPD. Oh, joy and fun.
I have been taking care of baby's cousin the last couple of days. I had to take him to Miami Monday. He just had to have minor surgery but he was in pretty bad pain. I have been staying over there and cooking for him and baby. It also gives me practice on doing dressing changes!:) Which I don't mind doing.
We went back to the Physician yesterday and it took longer getting there and coming back than the whole office visit! He didn't even have to wait. We were like 10 minutest early and he was in there for maybe 10 min. Insane! He was nice and took me to Tony Roma's for lunch and then we went to Krispy Kreme for dessert. I adore Kripsy Kreme! On the way out I saw a little kitten. I tried to feed it some of my fish but it was to frightened of me. I left some and hope that the little thing ate it. I hate seeing homeless animals.
I haven't really been doing much. His niece was there Monday night so I spent most of the night playing with her. Hopefully I get to spend some time with her this Monday. We are suppose to take her to a movie and maybe dinner.
I spent Tues.. and Wed. by the pool and got just a little bit of sun. I'm going to use his pool more often. No one uses it and it should be used right?:)
The party Sunday was fun. Baby got to meet some more of my friends from school. It has been a pretty good relaxed week. I love weeks like this!!!!
